Valentine's!

So I just wanted to tell everyone about the gift Jason surprised me with for Valentines. First off it was the best gift. It didn't cost him anything, and I had so much fun with my gift. One of my greatest friends, Heather Ward, called Jason and told him that they were coming down all the way from Canada and that I didn't know. They decided to surprise me for V-Day. It was awesome. He drove me blind-folded to her in-laws where they were staying and then she came and got me out of the car. It was so much fun. We hung out with her and her husband and there adorable children all night. We played poker with them, which we used to do in Portland. I can't believe how much seeing them made me realize that I miss them more than I thought. Thank you so much to Jason, Heather and Gannon for the wonderful Valentines Day. It was definitely the best one I have ever had. Sorry to say that my little sister was borrowing my camera so I was unable to get pictures of the event :(

Loving Burley...sort of :)

So here we are in the big town of Burley, Idaho and we are trying to adjust to the lifestyle. It has been kind of a challenge not having our own place and also being back in a small town. It has been easier for me and Ryker than for Jason. We went to the movies last night and that really made us miss Portland. There was this theater in Portland called Cinetopia and it was amazing. They have all digital projectors that make the move so much better and they also have big leather seats that are more like recliners instead of the regular movie seats. I don't mean to knock Burley's cinema because you get what you pay for. In Portland it was like 10.50 per person for the movies and snacks were really expensive. I also know that Jason is having golfing withdrawals.

Also since we have been here our precious dog Millie was violated by a stray mutt so she might be pregnant. The poor little thing was left outside by my father while she was in heat and we didn't get to her before the other dog did.

Jason's practice is up and running and growing all the time. If you know anyone in Rupert, Idaho or the surrounding areas and are in need of a Chiropractor feel free to set up an appointment at Olsen's Chiropractic Center.

To update you on Ryker he now has 6 teeth and is growing by leaps and bounds. He is always on the move and makes me very tired. He definitely has the spirit of a little boy...he gets into everything he is not supposed to. :)

So posted below are pics of the Cinetopia theater seats.

Playing with mom!

Ryker and I had a fun day. I decided to go through some more boxes and we put together a tunnel for Ryker. He liked it for a while. Anyway, here are some photos of us (mostly him) playing. I am still in my pj's cause I was cleaning all day.

Sorry it has been so long...

Well I realize that I haven't posted anything for a very long time, but I have a few good excuses. First off we have been very busy getting settled into a routine. Jason has been working on getting his practice set up, and I have been trying to get Ryker on a sleeping schedule. All of these things seem to be a success so far.

Secondly, my laptop broke and I had to get it fixed. All my pics are on it so I couldn't blog from my parents computer very well and our iMac is in the room where Ryker takes his naps so I couldn't use it either. So needless to say it has been tough to blog.

For all of you who are interested I will give you a little update. Living with my parents, although crowded, has not been as bad as I expected. Jason's practice with Dr. Olsen is up and running, and growing quickly so we are excited about that. I have started teaching dance at Julie's Danceworks and I love it. It is great to be dancing again and it is helping me lose a little weight! (definite added perk) Ryker is growing up way too quickly. He is six months old and crawling all over. He is also pulling himself up to a standing position on everything he can grab hold of. It is very cute but is quite the hand full.

We miss Portland and all of our friends very much but are quickly adjusting to our life here in the "huge city" of Burley.

Here are a few random pics for your viewing pleasure!!

Catching Up...

I am sitting here in Utah at the in-laws trying to decide what to write about. I have so much to update everyone on I just can't decide where to start. I guess first off Jason found out today that he passed his part 4 board exams so that means he is officially a Doctor. We are so excited. We are spending the holidays in Utah before Jason starts working in Burley where we have moved to. It has been great here, but I am missing my friend Heather terribly. Our move back to Burley was a bit hectic because of the weather. The drive that normally takes 8 hours took us more like 15 and we had to stop half way there. Then trying to get to Utah was even worse because of closed roads. We had to go up through Pocatello which made the drive an hour longer than normal. So traveling has not been fun for us so far. Ryker is getting big so fast. He has almost got crawling down, we have started him on some solid foods, and he is getting quite the personality. He has started doing this really cute smile where he crinkles up his nose and sticks his chin in the air. Every time he does it I just have to laugh. I have a few pics of it that I will post.
Other than all that we are just looking forward to starting the New Year with a brand new chapter of our life. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and is looking forward to the New Year!

Graduation!

Jason did it. He graduated. We are so proud of him. Graduation was fantastic and the ceremony was wonderful. I can't believe it, my husband is a Doctor of Chiropractic. He has worked so hard and at long last that work has paid off. We are moving to Burley where he will start working in Rupert as part of Dr. Olson's practice. I will post pictures of the graduation here. Thanks to all of our family and friends for the love and support.

HO HO HO

We went to see Santa today! I know you might all think that I am crazy to stand in line with my 5 month old son just to get a few pics of him with Santa, but this was the best mall Santa I have ever seen. You will see from the photos. He has a real beard, and they put makeup on him so that he had the rosy cheeks and everything. We had a really fun day. Jason and I checked out of our apartment and then went to the mall to finish some Christmas shopping. Ryker got a new outfit to see Santa in and we got to spend an wonderful afternoon with our parents. On top of all that it really felt like Christmas time because it snowed here again today. This is the most unusual weather for Portland. Jason and I think that the city is crazy. They maybe have a max of 1 inch of snow and they have canceled school almost everyday this week.

Getting ready to see Santa.

Waiting in line with dad to see Santa.

Still waiting...

Finally!! On Santa's knee!

Crashed on Grandpa P's lap after all that excitement.
